Josh Groban was born on July 22, 1981 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Lisa (née Weintraub) and Greg Groban. His father is from a Jewish family from Belarus, and his mother is from a Catholic background. Groban has two older sisters, Raine and Nellie.
Groban’s parents divorced when he was five years old and he moved with his mother to Massachusetts. He attended the Providence Day School in North Andover, Massachusetts before transferring to the prestigious Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.
